Emergent Cold LatAm becomes the only Brazilian outsourcer authorized to export animal protein to China

RioGrande

This achievement opens up new opportunities for Brazil’s refrigerated logistics sector.

In a historic milestone for the Brazilian refrigerated logistics sector, Emergent Cold LatAm is the only thirdy-party logistics (3PL) company in Brazil authorized to export animal protein to China. As of now, the company’s unit located in Rio Grande (Rio Grande do Sul state) is allowed to store and ship frozen animal protein to meet the growing demand for products of Brazilian origin destined for the Chinese market. As a result, the volume of cargo stored and handled at the unit is expected to double.

For the general director of Emergent Cold LatAm in the Southern Cone, Evandro Calanca, this achievement reinforces the company’s operational excellence and places Brazil in a privileged position, given China’s high demand for food, especially animal proteins. “This is a combination that promises to transform the Brazilian export scenario, offering unprecedented opportunities for Brazilian companies to expand their horizons. This milestone is more than an achievement for us. It is proof of our dedication to raising the standard of refrigerated logistics in Brazil, helping to strengthen trade relations between Brazil and China,” celebrates the director.
