Emergent Cold LatAm, the largest provider of temperature-controlled food storage and logistics solutions in Latin America, announced today its plans to develop a new, state-of-the-art cold storage warehouse in Cali, a central industrial hub in Colombia.
The site selected for this project is in a strategic location of the city and includes sufficient land for several construction phases. The first portion of the project will include 7,000 pallet positions of chilled and frozen storage capacity, and when completed the facility will have total capacity of 18,000 pallet positions.
This new investment represents Emergent Cold LatAm’s third active development project in Colombia. The Company is currently constructing a warehouse in Cartagena, which will be its second location in an important port city. In the Funza neighborhood of Bogotá, the Company is expanding one of its facilities to add 13,000 new pallet positions.
“There is strong customer demand in the Cali region for additional cold storage capacity,” said Alain Eichmann, Managing Director of Emergent Cold LatAm. “We continue to make significant infrastructure investments across Colombia with the goal of providing the highest-quality logistics solutions for the food supply chain.”
Emergent Cold LatAm entered Colombia in 2022 with the acquisition of a national network of temperature-controlled warehouses. In 2024, the Company completed a second acquisition of an operating company in Bogotá. Currently, Emergent Cold LatAm operates five warehouses that are located in Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Cali, and Cartagena.
